When Mail Should Arrive

Mail should arrive at our customer’s homes or businesses on a day that we are open so that they can call us. It should not arrive on a day we are closed.

The Shipping Clerk needs to be aware of the pick-up times of the mailbox that is used. Most San Diego County mail will arrive the next business day if there is a pick up scheduled for a time after the mail is dropped in the box.

Mail should not be mailed on Saturday (before the Saturday pick up time) as it will arrive on Monday (a day we are closed). It CAN be mailed on Saturday after the last scheduled pick up because then it will be picked up on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.
