IT IS NOW COMPANY POLICY THAT NEW CUSTOMERS AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NEVER PURCHASED FROM US BEFORE ARE LIMITED TO A $5000 FIRST TIME PURCHASE USING WELLS FARGO JEWELRY ADVANTAGE CREDIT.
Existing customers who have purchased from us before are not limited in amount for first time use of Well Fargo Jewelry Advantage Credit.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT WELLS FARGO FINANCING AS A DEPOSIT FOR A SALE OR FOR ANY REPAIR JOBS. WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT IT AS PAYMENT IN FULL FOR A SALE.
IF THE CUSTOMER PAYS BY FINANCING (Wells Fargo Financing) AND WANTS SOMETHING SHIPPED TO SOMEONE ELSE’S ADDRESS, HE OR SHE MUST CONTACT THE FINANCING COMPANY AND HAVE THAT ADDRESS ADDED TO HIS OR HER ACCOUNT. OTHERWISE, WE CANNOT SHIP TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS OR TO ANY OTHER NAME EVEN WITH A RELEASE FORM FOR FINANCE ORDERS.
Completing an Application
- Ask for a state or federal form of ID from the applicant(s) and scan it using Intellicheck. If you need help logging into Intellicheck, ask IT or accounting. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. Save the scan results. If the ID is rejected, we cannot continue with the application. If the customer doesn’t have their physical ID, we cannot continue with the merchant application.
- On the How will the customer complete this application screen, check the box or Email link.
- Fill out the information on the next page.
- Submit the information on the Wells Fargo website.
- Wells Fargo will then send the customer an email for them to complete their portion of the application on the merchant application.
- They cannot forward the email to someone else to complete.
- Once you’ve received the credit decision approving the application, you can process a transaction for the customer.
- A disclosure page will then come up, print the disclosure form, and have the customer sign and date at the bottom. The second sheet that is printed has the same information as the one the customer will sign, but this second document is for the customer’s personal records. The disclosure code will appear at the bottom left, enter this code where it asks for it.
- Always review the terms on the disclosure page, indicating the months financed and the interest percentage if not paid within the terms of the agreement.
Guidelines for acceptable application ID:
Primary ID must be able to scan with Intellicheck:
- State issued Driver’s License or ID
Secondary ID does not have to be scanned with Intellicheck but must be copied
- Government issued ID
- State issued ID
- Passport
- Military ID
- Government issued Green Card / Resident Alien Card
- Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card.
- Department Store or Oil company credit card.
It is our responsibility to identify the customer. Wells Fargo will not accept any risk of fraud for credit card accounts. It’s up to us to make sure that we check ID and do not proceed with any transaction that is suspicious. Call the WF Fraud desk at 800-257-7799, Mon – Fri, 8 am – 5 pm Central Time for help.
Processing the Application
Wells Fargo is an online application. The website is https://retailservcies.sec.wellsfargo.com. Each salesperson and assistant has their own login and password and should be kept in a safe place. If you need help with your password or login information, please contact accounting.
Application processing
- On the How will the customer complete this application screen, check the box or Email link.
- Fill in the First name, Last name, Customer email.
- Leave the Merchant email as “accounting@leohamel.com”
- Enter the Estimated purchase price if you know it.
- Enter the salesperson ID. First 2 initials and the date: Example: TR051524.
- Check the box next to the “I acknowledge…” statement
- Click the Send link button.
- Let your customer know they will be receiving an email in about 2-5 minutes asking them to complete the application process. It will ask for their social security number, income, own/rent, and other information.
- The application will be decided within 45 seconds. The email address accounting@leohamel.com will get the notification of approval or denial. Notify the salesperson and save the email in the folder Accounting\merchant services\WFF\YEAR\Application Notifications.
- If the application is pending, click on the ‘Find Recent Applications’ link in the left navigation menu. Enter the desired search criteria and then click on the red ‘refresh’ arrows next to the pending status of the applicant.
Account inquiry
- Click on ‘Make an Account Inquiry’ in the left navigation menu.
- Enter a 16-digit account number or customer name and press ‘submit.’
- The Account Summary screen will appear with the name, address, phone number, and open to buy amount.
Authorization and charge
- Click ‘Process a Transaction’ and search by account number or name.
- Select ‘Authorization and Charge.’
- Enter amount, plan number, ticket number, and salesperson ID. (Amount and plan number are required fields)
- Click ‘submit’, the Charge screen will appear showing the authorization number and confirming the charge transaction details.
- A link to the printable receipt is on this page. Click this link and a new window will pop up displaying the receipt. Print off two copies of this receipt, one for the customer, and one for dealer records.
Credit/Return Transaction
- Click ‘Process a Transaction’ and search by account number or name.
- Select ‘Credit/Return.’
- Enter amount, plan number, ticket number, and salesperson ID. (Amount and plan number are required fields.)
- Click ‘submit’, the Return Details screen will appear confirming the transaction details.
- A link to the printable receipt is on this page. Click this link and a new window will pop up displaying the receipt. Print off two copies of this receipt, one for the customer, and one for dealer records.
Promotional Payment Plans
Wells Fargo Jewelry Advantage offers a range of “no interest” payment plans from 6 months to 18 months. These plans cost our company a certain percentage merchant fee for the customer to use. The longer the financing period, the higher the fee. Therefore, salespeople are allowed to offer 6 months’ financing to any customer, but to offer longer financing requires the Sales Manager’s approval. Occasionally during the year, Wells Fargo Jewelry Advantage may reduce our merchant fee on a particular financing plan, and when that happens, we usually advertise it to our customers in the catalog. During those special promotion times, Sales Manager approval is not needed to offer the special promotion to the customer.
Accepting Wells Fargo Jewelry Advantage cards for purchase
- The Wells Fargo Jewelry Advantage credit card must be signed on the back.
- Compare signatures on the back of the card and on the sales draft.
- Check for any signs of card alteration.

We, the merchant, assume all risk associated with credit card accounts opened through fraud or identity theft. WF Bank will back charge us for any transactions that prove to be fraudulent, whether we verified the customer’s ID or not.
