Taking Merchandise

Any time any merchandise goes out of the store for any reason a hand written invoice must be written and checked-off by the Inventory Manager. This means to deliver to a customer, to take pictures, to show to a customer, to take for repair, any reason.

Make sure the following items are written on the invoice:

  1. Who is taking it.
  2. Where you are going (name and address).
  3. Date
  4. Stock #, retail and cost of the item(s).

Although this is just sound security, there are other reasons. Salespeople go to look for an item and it’s gone and they spend 20 minutes looking for it. You get hit by a car and we have no record of you having the item and we can’t collect on insurance (after grieving of course!).

If Inventory is not available, check with Inventory Manager.

The only exception to this would be the normal store transfers as special forms are used to account for this merchandise.
