Status of Merchandise Over Night

Jewelry and watches are being left out at night. Why? I don’t know, but it is not acceptable and a violation of: Security, Insurance, and Ethics. I do not know where the idea came from that it is OK to leave merchandise (money) out of the safes at night, but it didn’t come from me.

Would you leave $100,000 of your own money out over night? Merchandise is money. Treat it as such. It is never to be left out at night.

Repair is to see that it is put in the safe. Nam should not be working in the store when we are not here, unless one of our regular staff is here and he should not have access to our safes. He may need to get his own real safe (TL rated and hooked up to the alarm system). Watches left in his area are his responsibility and not covered by our insurance. He is a separate business and he needs to supply proper security to items that he has of ours. He needs to read and understand this as well.
