Diamond Box

Although it is Inventory’s job to check and update diamond prices on all loose stones each time a new Rapp sheet comes out, anyone dealing with loose diamonds must verify the marked price against current Rapp. This way any errors on re-pricing diamonds can be discovered before the old price is given to the customer!

When you take out a stone to show a customer take two seconds to look up the current price on the Rapp sheet and double check that the price marked on the paper is current. Our standard markup should be included and inventory consulted with any questionable prices.

As it is Inventory’s job to inventory the diamond box regularly, these errors should be minimal. When the Rapp sheet comes out it shows which stones have had a price change so making changes are made easier.

With Rapp available through the mail and through the web, ignorance of current Rapp on a stone is no excuse.
