Charging for Shipping

Shipping for any purchase must be paid for by the customer by the salesperson. Remember that the customer is saving 7.75% sales tax by shipping the item for out of state use, so they shouldn’t balk at paying a fair shipping amount.

Follow this chart to calculate the appropriate amount of shipping to charge the customer. These amounts are not inflated; they are based on the actual cost for shipping Insured, Registered Mail, and Return Receipt at USPS. Note that these fees are for packages weighing 1 lb. or less. If the merchandise to be shipped weighs more than 1 lb. (jewelry boxes, etc.), ask the Shipping Department to calculate the price for you.

All shipping will be added to the invoice using serv-182. Do NOT use the built-in shipping box in Business Mind.
