Written Requests

If you have a request, put it in writing. Do not go to the person and expect him to carry your request around in his head. In order to prevent extra unnecessary work it is best to put your request in writing, on paper or e-mail, and send it to the person. Few things need conferences. Dispatches take care of 99% of organizational business.

Only in a “rush” situation would you go physically to the person with your request. This includes sales cycles that are occurring right now.

Think about how many times a day you are interrupted and how many times you interrupt others. This eats up hours a day.
