We want to track why customers come in to make a purchase, whether it’s their first or their 20th. This will tell us which of our marketing campaigns or promotional activities are the most effective in creating new sales and repeat sales.
In order to track accurately, once we are invoicing a sale at the POS, we ask the customer to fill out a survey on which they will indicate what brought them in today. As you are creating the invoice, use the Sales Source menu to enter the reason that the customer came in.
