NOTHING IS TO BE ON TOP OF THE SAFES.
NOTHING. It can cause false alarms.
Items placed into the safe must not extend beyond the front edge of the shelf. Even a small baggie must not extend beyond the front edge. This too can cause false alarms and cause the alarm not to set. The person closing will get a notice when setting the alarm and then have to search which safe, open it, push the stuff back and then retry until the problem is solved. This means up and down the stairs as many as 4 or 5 times.
Whenever a note is found on the door from the alarm company notifying us of an alarm activation, it must be routed to the designated department. ALWAYS.
When you get one of these, ALWAYS call for a serviceman to come check out why.
If you get this two days in a row, SCREAM to the highest person at ADT to get it handled correctly and NOW.
Not getting this handled puts the entire company at risk. If you can’t get quick response from ADT you need to ask for a supervisor as the person you may be talking to doesn’t understand our urgency. Be persistent on getting it handled. Of course be polite first, but use volume if need be.
