We are continually fighting to get all repairs rung out properly and the charges collected from the customer. We have found numerous times that a repair was delivered to a customer without collecting payment and without writing up a “no charge” invoice so that the cost of the repair can be subtracted from the salesperson’s commission for that sale, as per policy. We are losing thousands of dollars from these repairs being given away and never collected for or even invoiced.
We cannot continue to pay repair department employees to discover and follow up on repairs that are given away to customers and not rung out properly.
Therefore it is now policy that any employee who delivers a job to a customer without being properly rung up will receive disciplinary action as follows:
