Repair Flag for New Names

Repair Flag Procedure

A lot of new customers come in to get repairs. It will often happen that a repair customer will later make a purchase in the jewelry store, at which time the salesperson is changed to a jewelry store salesperson. For stats, we want to be able to report that the new name originated from Repair. The Repair employee who enters the new name will enter a 1 in a field on the Custom Properties tab which will remain even if the customer becomes a jewelry store customer. That field will be used to pull weekly reports to stat Repair new names.

On a contact file in BM >

Select “Edit Properties” and click “Go!”

On the “Contact Properties Editor” window, select “Custom Properties” tab.

Enter a 1 in the field Repair Flag to show it’s a Repair new name. Contact Source should be filled in like normal.

This way we can acknowledge that the customer originally came from our repair marketing efforts.
