It is vital that the proper “referred by” or “contact source” is entered into the computer. It is not good enough to just put anything in the field.

It is the Sales Manager’s job to see that this gets filled in specifically and clearly in the computer. The Sales Manager ensures the salespeople and the rest of the staff fills it in.

At the end of each day, the Sales Manager needs to make sure that the “new name data” is filled in correctly.

All other staff that enters new names needs to do this as well, but the Sales Manager is ultimately responsible to see that this is done and done correctly.

Without having this information, we cannot plan to advertise in the hot areas. A smart Sales Manager understands that driving more customers into the store gives the sales professionals more opportunity to make more sales and with this everyone wins.
