Quartz Watches

Always set the time and date on quartz watches BEFORE putting into stock. Salespeople, when showing a quartz watch, set the time and date. Doing this will make it obvious during set-up that watches with incorrect time will usually need a new battery. It is not only embarrassing to discover this when trying to sell a watch but may also blow the sale

A radio controlled clock should be available to use to set the most accurate and consistent time. Cell phones are radio controlled but stationary radio controlled clocks should be in Div 4 and other areas where watches may need to be set.

Staff delivering repairs to customers, must set the time and date for the customer, BEFORE giving it to him (whether the watch is quartz or automatic). This:

  1. Allows us to see if they work.
  2. Inspires confidence in the customer when the watch is set to the correct time and demonstrates that is DOES keep good time.

The repair area should ALWAYS put in a new battery in a used watch when put into stock.
