Phone Messages for All Employees

Previously entitled Phone Messages

Any time that you answer the phone and are not able to successfully transfer the call to the correct person or department, a message must be taken and emailed to the person or department.

Even if the person calling insists on not leaving a message, take one anyway and email it to the correct person or department every time. ALL messages taken by anyone, for ANYONE (not just salespeople), are to include full data, and ESPECIALLY a callback phone number EVERY TIME.

Full data includes:

  • Who called – first AND last name
  • When they called, date & time
  • What it is regarding
  • When to return the call
  • Number at which to call back
  • Name of the person who took the message in case there are any questions

ALL the data.
