Pawn Detail Reports

The Pawn Detail just got a new manager. Apparently he has been informed by his predecessor that we are “to be watched.” We have been making “lots of errors.” They WANT to write us a citation. Believe me; they could have done it many times. Even the smallest error is citable.

So, go over each pawn slip when you fill it in. CHECK IT TWICE! Get it in the mail THE SAME DAY! The responsible department is to turn in all its buy and consignment slips to the division by the end of the day, to be mailed with the pawn and buy slips from that division. The secretary is to check all of the slips again each day before mailing, and any errors corrected with a chit to the person who made the error. If we rigorously apply this policy, no errors should reach the pawn detail, and we won’t get any citations.
