Order of Importance of Activities

This is the order of importance of activities occurring at Leo Hamel Co. at any time:

  1. Help the customer who is in the store;
  2. Help the customer who is on the phone (if a customer comes into the store, you can call this customer back);
  3. Help a salesperson who is helping a customer who is in the store or on the phone;
  4. Everything else, including orders from your senior.

Nothing you are ever doing is more important than the first three items listed above. They are the reason we have a business. This is not to say you must constantly be unable to wear your own hat because you are helping customers (and you are not in sales); if that is the case, more salespeople need to be hired! But it does mean that if it gets busy in the store, and you are needed to do 1, 2, or 3 above, you must do it!
