Newsletters to New Names

I have discovered that the standard action of sending the newsletter to all New Names has dropped out.

When the newsletter is bulk-mailed out, the mailing list is made up on approximately the 18th of the month* and everyone receives their newsletter around the first of the month. Therefore, if you get a New Name after the 18th of the month that person won’t get a newsletter until the end of the following month. That means it could be up to 45 days before the person receives their first newsletter!

It is standard procedure that the color catalog be sent with the first letter, and the most recent newsletter with the second letter.

So, use newsletters in your letters to New Names, though please don’t use newsletters more than two months old.

*This date will vary slightly from month to month. You can check with Div 2 for the exact date the mailing list was made up each month if need be.
