Multiple Job Items

When one customer comes in with 2 or 3 different repair jobs they must be logged as 2 or 3 different jobs. They cannot all go into the same job ticket.

In addition we need to make a note in the description of the job “1 OF 2 JOBS” or “2 OF 2 JOBS.” This will let the repair staff know that the customer has multiple jobs in here. This saves time as we wouldn’t want to only call them on one job and then look like a fool when they ask about the others. (Note that notation is in ALL CAPS to allow it to stand out more and be easily seen.)

Most jewelry jobs are okay to be put together. As long as the item & work descriptions clearly indicate each separate item & what is to be done.

This should be done by listing the items with numbers. Example:

  1. lds 14ky solitaire ring with rbc center stone set in 6prong head
  2. lds 14kw wide wedding band-no stones
  1. size ring from a 6 to a 7
  2. size ring from a 8 to a 9, rhodium plate

Some jobs need to go to different places to get fixed. Make sure to take note of this before combining the items. You wouldn’t put a ring that has to go back to the factory in with a ring that is only being polished. Having each one in its one job ticket allows the repair staff to split them up and send them wherever they need to go for efficiency.
