Mailing List, Keeping it Current

We are now able to save money with the recent NCOA Link process (National Change of Address) developed by the post office. If a customer moves to a new address, the post office now has to give us the current address at no charge. It’s no longer acceptable to put “Return Service Requested” on our mailings, as this is a service for which the post office does charge a fee.

  1. The most effective way to keep our mailing list updated is through the mailing of the newsletter.
  2. After the newsletter mails from National Direct our mail house, request the NCOA from Dirk Harden: dirk@givebackmarketing.com (see example below)
  3. This needs to be done EVERY MONTH.
  4. Once the list of corrected addresses is received, forward it to Reception to update the customer files.
