Any staff ordering ANYTHING from a supplier to buy, memo, or whatever should keep notes of:
- The description of the item, including model number, age, condition, etc. For diamonds this includes measurements, table, depth percentage, type and location of inclusions, whether or not it has a cert and what kind, etc.
- Price quoted.
- Any other info, comments, etc.
This is so they can’t weasel out of anything by saying, “That is not what I said”. Email confirmation is even better.
