Invoicing Holiday Buy Offers

We are running special promotions with a number of radio and TV stations that are structured in such a way that they will guarantee us a particular result in the form of sales made. If we don’t get the return, they will continue with free ads until the return is achieved.

Each promotion has a unique offer so that we can positively identify where the customers are hearing about us and the radio or TV station will get proper credit. These offers are also calls to action, and we hope will induce customers to shop with us for Christmas.

It’s crucial that we can identify where customers are hearing the ads, so a special survey form was created by the marketing department to be filled out for each sale. Generally, the nature of the discount will confirm where the customer heard about us and that station will get credit for the sale.

As with any other discount of this kind, the person who is doing the sales stats (in the Accounting Department) must subtract this discount from the sale to come up with the net sale, to ensure that the profit is not overstated.

Use the code serv-142 (use serv-A154 in SB) to give the 10% off discount. The discount and the item purchased will appear on separate lines in the Leo Hamel Commission Report and are added together manually (the negative discount amount and the positive sale amount).

If applying this or any other discount to a sale causes the net sale to go under minimum, the commission will be calculated for an under minimum sale.
