Employees Leaving Must Pay Off Debts

Any employee who is leaving the company must pay off any money that is owed for jewelry on order or on layaway, plus any outstanding draws or lunch tabs. If money is owed, it will be deducted from the employee’s last paycheck.

If the amount owed is greater than the paycheck pending, other arrangements to pay in full must be made, including the possibility of surrendering any merchandise not yet paid for.

When an employee starts talking about leaving, anyone who knows of it should notify Accounting so that the person’s account can be reviewed thoroughly and appropriate action taken BEFORE they’re gone.
