Employees Create Social Media Posts

Posting on social media is a great way to promote to existing and potential new customers. It is known that posting existing customers’ experiences in the store is good promotion for the store and for salespeople, repair personnel, and jewelry buyers.

Since you are the ones interacting with customers, you are the perfect people to create posts for the store’s Instagram page. Get photos and videos with your customers capturing their happy moments of buying something new, getting something repaired, or receiving payment for selling something. We would like to see one post per day from each of you if possible.

USE THE CUSTOMER’S PHONE to take the photo and have them send it to you. Then you don’t need any consent forms. Just say, “Hey, let’s take a selfie with your phone!” Take their phone, take the photo, send it to yourself, and then forward it to Marketing.

PROCEDURE

Sales – Ask the customer if he or she would mind being featured in a post. Ask the customer to use their phone and take a quick photo or video of the happy customer showing off his or her new jewelry or watch. If you can get in the photo too, so much the better. Help the customer to send you the photo. Then forward photos to Marketing phone number 619-944-4800. Send videos by email to marketing@leohamel.com. Include the customer’s name, Instagram handle, and what you want the post to say.

Repair – Ask the customer picking up the repair or custom job if he or she would mind being featured in a post. Ask the customer to use their phone and take a quick photo or video of the happy customer showing off his or her jewelry or watch. If you can get in the photo too, so much the better. Help the customer to send you the photo. Then forward photos to Marketing phone number 619-944-4800. Send videos by email to marketing@leohamel.com. Include the customer’s name, Instagram handle, and what you want the post to say.

Jewelry Buyers – Ask the customer if he or she would mind being featured in a post. Ask the customer to use their phone and take a quick photo or video of the happy customer showing off what they just sold or the check they just got. If you can get in the photo too, so much the better. Help the customer to send you the photo. Then forward photos to Marketing phone number 619-944-4800. Send videos by email to marketing@leohamel.com. Include the customer’s name, Instagram handle, and what you want the post to say.

Marketing will post these photos and videos right away and tag the customer and the employee as appropriate.

CONSENT FORMS

IF THE PHOTO IS NOT TAKEN WITH THE CUSTOMER’S PHONE – If you take a photo with your phone and the customer’s face shows, they must sign a consent form or we can’t post it. Consent forms are available on the right side of POS, from Marketing, or can be printed from leohamel.com\The K Drive – Documents\Leo Hamel Consent Form.

It will be much easier to just stand next to them and say, “Let’s take a selfie, you look so happy! We will post it on our page.”
