All Leo Hamel Personnel will be required to participate in daily merchandise case counts.
The inventory manager will create a 3-ring note book that will include a floor plan of our showroom and physically number all cases. We will do daily case counts in the morning and at night before we close. The beginning number minus transfers, sales, items routed to repair will equal the ending number. If the number does not match all staff will be required to stay until we have determined where the shrinkage occurred. The manager on duty will determine at that point what action to take.
All loose diamond inventory will be locked up on a daily basis. Leo Hamel personnel will be required to check diamonds in and out. Loose diamonds will be counted twice a day and weighed and verified once a week by a registered Gemologist on staff or the manager on duty. We will do a beginning and ending count at the beginning and end of each day. Again like above if the number does no match all staff will be required to stay until we have determined where the shrinkage occurred.
