We use red lights at the different entrance doors so that employees can determine whether or not the alarm is off and it is safe to come in.
At the employee entrance on the estate buying side of the front of the building, there is a red light at the top left side of the doorframe inside the glass. If the light is off, it means that the security system has been disarmed and it is safe to come in. If the light is red, it means that the security alarms are still armed and if the door is opened, the alarm will go off.
Do not open the door if the red light is on.
When an employee who is authorized to disarm the security system arrives in the morning, he or she will unlock the door and turn off the alarm system. The light will turn from red to off. At the end of the day, one employee who exits to the street will be tasked with ensuring that the door is dead-bolted after all employees have left the building. In addition, the person who sets the alarm system is responsible to know that this door is locked before setting the alarm. Once the system is set on, the light over the door will turn red.
The garage entrance and the marketing entrance also have a light above the door that shows red if the security system is armed, and is off if the security system is off. Do not open these doors if the red light is on.
