Briefcases and Security

It is firm policy that no customer is allowed to put his briefcase on the counter. No coats, large purses; nothing in which either a weapon or tools to open showcases could be concealed, or merchandise be lifted up under the cover of (One robbery was committed by putting a baby seat on the counter). Tell them that the glass is not stable, and that for security reasons, we cannot allow it. If a person continues to put their briefcase on the counter and begins to open it, DO NOT TRY TO REMAIN POLITE. PUSH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY! It is even more reason to be suspicious if you have already asked them to remove it, and they continue to open it. This spells DANGER!

Get any suspicious person out of the store immediately! Tell them we are not interested, and then get away from the counter. Do not lean on the counter or put your hands on the counter for them to grab you. Stand back and get away if necessary.
